Why the preparation is the job
Plenty of painting jobs stall on one wall nobody can safely reach — a double-height entry, a stairwell void, an atrium ceiling, a high warehouse wall. Trestles do not get there and a ladder has no business being there.
We bring the right elevated work platform to the job instead: scissor lifts for open floors, boom and knuckle lifts where the reach has to go up and over something. The access is planned as part of the quote, so the equipment is on site on the right day rather than becoming a variation.
Everything else is the same as any other Paintcom job — the surface is inspected first, prepared properly, and finished in a premium system, with a walkthrough before we call it done.

High-access painting — what we do
Homeowners with double-height rooms or stairwell voids, strata buildings with tall common areas, and commercial or warehouse sites with high internal walls.
High ceilings and voids
Double-height living areas, entries and stairwell voids reached from a platform, not a ladder.
Atriums and foyers
Tall internal walls and ceilings in lobbies and atriums, masked and cut in cleanly at height.
Elevated internal walls
High warehouse and hall walls where the surface is sound but simply out of normal reach.
Access planned in the quote
The right lift specified and scheduled up front, so access is not a mid-job variation.
Safe work at height
Platforms operated correctly, areas below kept clear, and the site left tidy each day.
Same finish, harder position
Inspected, prepped and coated to the same standard as work at ground level.

What customers say about Paintcom
High-access painting: common questions
What counts as high-access painting?
Anything that cannot be reached safely from a ladder or trestle — double-height ceilings, stairwell voids, atriums, tall foyer walls and high internal warehouse walls. If it needs a platform to reach it, it is high-access work.
What equipment do you use?
Scissor lifts where the floor is open and level, and boom or knuckle lifts where the reach has to extend up and over an obstruction. Which one is right is decided at the inspection and included in the quote.
Is the access included in the quote?
Yes. The platform is specified and scheduled as part of the scope, so it is on site on the right day and does not turn into a variation later.
Do you paint roofs or the outside of tall buildings?
No. Roof work and rope-access or scaffolded facade work on tall buildings are specialist trades we do not take on. Our high-access work is the elevated interior and exterior areas of normal-height buildings.
Can you work in an occupied building?
Yes. The area under the platform has to be kept clear while we work, so we agree the sequence and any access restrictions up front and move through the space in sections.
