Why the preparation is the job
In a commercial space the paint job is rarely the expensive part — the downtime is. A team that cannot use a floor, or a shop that cannot open, costs more per day than the painting does.
So we work around you. After hours, weekends, or floor by floor while the rest of the building keeps operating. We agree the programme before we start, protect the space properly, and leave it clean enough to be used the next morning.
The preparation does not change because the schedule is compressed. We still inspect the existing coating, still patch and seal, still undercoat where it is needed — because a repaint that fails in eighteen months means doing the disruption twice.

What customers say about Paintcom
Commercial & office: common questions
Can you paint outside our business hours?
Yes. After-hours and weekend work is normal for our commercial jobs — it is usually the cheapest option overall once you account for the cost of downtime during trading hours.
How do you keep disruption to a minimum?
We agree the programme before we start and work in sections — floor by floor, or area by area — so the rest of the space stays in use. Floors and fixtures are protected and the site is cleaned down at the end of each shift.
Do you work with fit-out contractors?
Yes. On a fit-out the painting has to land in the right sequence relative to the other trades, so we coordinate with the builder or project manager rather than working to a fixed date in isolation.
What sort of commercial spaces do you paint?
Offices, retail interiors and shopfronts, hospitality venues, common areas and amenities. For warehouses and factories, see our light industrial painting.
Is there a minimum job size?
No. Peter quotes small commercial jobs as readily as large ones — a single meeting room or a reception refresh is worth doing properly.
